Race Day: 11 October 2020

Rules of entry

The Royal Bank of Canada Corporate 13.1 rules of entry are outlined below:

  • All companies entering the Royal Bank of Canada Corporate 13.1 must have a minimum of 4 participants. If you have less than 4 interested participants, you can still purchase places for 2 or 3 individuals however these individuals will not be entered into the RBC Corporate 13.1. You are unable to purchase a single place. There is no maximum number of teams that one company can enter, subject to availability of places (this is strictly limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis). If you wish to purchase more than 50 places, please contact Elliot Lowe (Corporate Manager) on 07920 112 590.
  • All companies must nominate one “Team Manager” who may or may not be running, but who will be the main point of contact for administrative purposes. If this person leaves the company, it is their responsibility to nominate a new Team Manager and update the contact information prior to their departure.
  • The Team Manager will be required to enter details for each participant (name, email address and phone number) so the participant may receive their registration link. Team Managers must receive written permission to share this information with the Royal Parks Half Marathon from each participant prior to entering the participant’s details.
  • Each participant must then click on the registration link which is emailed to them and complete their registration before midnight Friday 4th September 2020. Once your participants have completed their registration and are ready to run, they will appear with a green tick next to their name on your console.
  • After [midnight on] Friday 4th September 2020, no changes can be made to your registered participants and no additions can be made.
  • If a company enters 7 or more participants, the Team Manager can move participants between sub-teams on their log in area. For example, a company with 20 participants might chose to create sub-teams of 7, 7 and 6 participants respectively to represent their three different branches.
  • The members of each sub-team must be decided and completed by the Team Manager on their log in area. Team members are not interchangeable on race day. Teams must be completed by Friday 25th September 2020 or they will automatically be created.
  • All participants must be over 17, agree to the overall Participant Terms and Conditions and each participant must complete the full run (no relays!)
  • All places ordered are non-refundable. Participants no longer able to take part can be substituted with a new participant up until the participant registration deadline of midnight on Friday 4th September 2020 but the new participant must be fully registered online and have agreed to the Participant Terms and Conditions before that date. New participants may NOT use the details of a non-participant in order to take part.
  • You can pay for your team’s places online or request an invoice for payments by BACS or cheque. Monies will be due 30 days after registering or by the participant registration deadline, whichever is the sooner. Any teams that have not paid in full by the participant registration deadline will not be permitted to participate.
  • Additional places can be purchased, subject to availability, by the Team Manager through the log in area of the website under “order places”. As cancellations and refunds are not possible, we recommend that companies buy only the places they need initially and buy additional places as and when necessary.
  • There will be three Team Challenge trophies, one for the fastest All Male team, one for the fastest All Female team and one for the fastest Mixed Team. They will be awarded based on the fastest 4 participants (based on chip times not gun times) in that team. Teams with fewer than 4 participants completing the race will not be eligible for a Corporate 13.1 trophy.
  • To qualify as a mixed team, the 4 fastest times from your team must be made up of 2 males and 2 females. In the event that your team is made up of more than 4 participants, and the split is not 50/50, we will pick the 2 fastest males and the 2 fastest females to make up your mixed team of 4.
