Emily and Pete Shaw decided to fundraise for GOSH Charity following their James’ tragic death from suspected sepsis when he was just five-and-a-half weeks old. They aim to create a legacy for James and to thank GOSH staff for their ‘outstanding care, kindness and dedication’. Having already raised over £250,000, which has funded specialist ventilators for children being transferred to GOSH for urgent treatment, the Shaw family are now aiming to raise a further £200,000 to equip a brand new, state-of-the-art operating theatre and a pre- and post-anaesthetic care room for children at GOSH.
