Race Day: 13 October 2019

Coach is a different kind of health and fitness website for men. We know not all men are looking to live in the gym to achieve big biceps and rippling abs, so we’ve expanded what we write about to help more people become fitter, healthier and happier with useful advice and plenty of inspiration.

Coach’s advice applies to everyone, not just men, so we hope we can help everyone who’s running the Royal Parks Half Marathon have a great experience.

The best place to start is with our half marathon training guide which runs through all the essentials, including strength training for runners, running shoes and gear, running apps and running watches that can help with your training, as well as information on how to use running gels and whether you need to carb-load before the race.

If you’ve got a question about your training, talk to Coach on Facebook and Twitter and we’ll do our best to find an expert to help, especially as we’re running the race too (it’s editor Jonathan Shannon’s first half!) so we will probably have the same issues. Good luck with your training and see you at the start line!
