Lisa May Foundation
The Lisa May Foundation was set up in the aftermath of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, where Lisa May sadly lost her life at the age of just 27.
Lisa had a lust for life and helping others. Her memory lives on in a positive light as the Foundation helps others in her name. Initially we funded disaster relief around the world, Thailand, Burma, the Philippines and most recently Nepal when we raised over £100k to help Nepal get back on its feet.
Thankfully natural disasters don't happen everyday so we also support up to three local charities on our own doorstep, which all welcome a little extra financial support as budgets continue to be cut and funding is becoming increasingly harder to achieve.
Our current "Local Heroes", as we like to call them, are
- Parity for Disability
- The Prostate Project
- Surrey Young Carers
Funds raised will help these super charities to do more in our communities. The Foundation receives very little funding so the vast majority of money has to be raised by us and our super supporters.
We use what we have to help others and appreciate any funds, donations of prizes or voluntary support. We are a very small operation but our charities rely on us for the little boosts that make a big difference.
Please support us if you can.
