Share Your Race Day With Your Family & Friends
There's no better feeling than when all your training and hard work pays off, and you cross the Royal Parks Half finish line on Sunday 8 October. But why not share your elation with your loved ones by inviting your friends and family?
Having them cheer you on will give you such a boost at you take on the 13.1 miles - you'll be amazed at the difference a familiar face or someone shouting your name can make, especially during the final few miles! Please read on for further useful spectator information.
Royal Parks Half Tracker App
To help your cheer squad follow you around the course, our best recommendation is to encourage your supporters to download our tracker app. They just need to search for Royal Parks Half 2017 in an app store (Apple or Android) and then search for you either by name or race number to add you to the tracker. It will pinpoint where you are on a map of the route and give them your estimated finish time. Trust us, it's super helpful!
There are some great places along the route for your supporters to base themselves. The finish line is an obvious choice for cheering you on, and the Serpentine Road or Victoria Gate areas are always very popular. Or how about the 10 mile-marker, to give you a boost for the final few miles? We would recommend they check out Kensington Gardens and the areas near the Albert Memorial, but keep in mind that if they then also want to see you cross the finish line they might need to jog part of the way too!
